Catholic church services point of view The catholic church and Galileo did not mix well, they disagreed on more then iodin occasions. The one thing the catholic church knew, was that everything Galileo was saying, was wrong, and considered extremely violative to the church because he was questioning what they believed in. The catholic church believed that world was the center of everything, that everything in the solar system revolved rough the earth, and they got this idea directly from the record books. While Galileo on the other generate begged to differ, he introduced the idea that the Earth revolved around the sun. there was no easy way for the church to take this so of course Galileo, a genius as we might speak out now, became a heretic. Galileo was not saying that the church was wrong, counter playing what the consecrate scriptures had give tongue to, he simply believe in attainment. And that science should be separate from church, possibly not taken as literal. But the church could not see it that way, they assumed he was preaching that god was wrong, which was not okay.
Faith and scripture argon compatible, faith is what someone believes in, even if its not right there to be proven in a calculator or written in a text book. Its something many sight sop up, something they have been influenced on by the text in their holy scriptures. Millions and millions of people around the world wouldnt have died if they didnt truly believe in their god, and what was being give tongue to in their scriptures. While on the other hand science and scripture are incompatible, science is hard facts, and according to science, many of the things said in the bible and other holy books, none of the things said could have happened. But that is also how faith is incorporated, because people hit the sack theres no humanly way those things could have happened, but they believe that they did.
