Society to daytime believes that bottled water is a necessity, and thus society invented it. But is this the case? Tap water has been safe for many decades. Bottled water is no safer than water one could get from the tap. The production of bottled water is very damaging to the Earth. It takes round seventeen million oil barrels each year just to produce bottled water in America. This oil must then be used to make the bottles. This action causes pollution which endangers the lives of humans, and other live creature of nature, and Gaia herself. Further, every day forty million plastic bottles (88% of those produced) are being thrown away into the trash and are not recycled. They are dumped into landfills or burned in incinerators which produces toxic fumes into the atmosphere.
